Your progress stays in your browser

Quant90 has no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no ads. Its own code sends nothing anywhere.

What is saved, and where

Your progress is saved in your browser’s local storage (localStorage), under the name q90.v1, on the device you are using. It holds:

  • your answers: the choice you picked, whether it was right, how long you took and which choices you crossed out;
  • the mistake tags you add, your bookmarks, and the lessons you have marked done with their quick-check scores;
  • your topic-quiz, timed-set and full-section results, and a quiz, set or section you have not finished, so you can carry on after a reload;
  • one display setting: whether the timer is shown.

A second, small entry, q90.est.v1, keeps a copy of your latest score estimate (or your progress toward it), so the estimate at the top of every page shows at once. It is worked out from the answers above, and deleting your progress deletes it too.

None of it leaves your browser. The site works it all out on your device, the readiness estimate included.

What that means for you

  • Your progress does not follow you to another browser or another device.
  • A private or incognito window starts empty and forgets everything when it closes.
  • Clearing this site’s data in your browser settings deletes your progress.
  • You can delete it yourself at any time with Delete my saved progress at the bottom of the Dashboard.

Other services the pages use

Two outside services see the ordinary details any website receives when your browser asks it for a file: your IP address, your browser and device type, and the time.

  • Netlify hosts the site, so it receives those details for every page you open. See Netlify’s privacy policy.
  • cdnjs, run by Cloudflare, serves KaTeX, the program that draws the math, and its fonts. The lesson, practice, full-section and dashboard pages fetch them, so Cloudflare receives those details too. The pages ask your browser not to tell cdnjs which page you were on. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Neither of them receives your progress. The text on every page uses your device’s own font, so no font service is contacted. The link to gmac.com in the score explanations takes you to GMAC’s site only if you follow it.
